Yesterday I mustered up the energy to compile what I previously wrote for my novel with my words from NaNo and I was pleasantly surprised that I'm currently over 86,000 words! Then I realized that I still have the third act to finish plus my extra POV's that I've barely even touched because I wanted to devote all my energy to my FMC's story since her story is the driving force behind everything else. I'm thinking when it's all over and I've trimmed out unnecessary scenes or relocated them to future books I'll end up around 100,000 words which would make this the longest book I've ever written.

In news completely unrelated to writing, I hung out with my best friend last night and she forced me to listen to the new Taylor Swift CD while we did our nails (she even has the extended version). Honestly, it's not my style, but there were a few songs that I thought were catchy and it wasn't as terrible as I was expecting. (Though T Swift needs to cut back on the auto tune big time.) I told my friend she has to listen to my alternative/indie music now as payback. ;)

And lastly, movies! NaNo has put me behind in my movie viewing, but I'm going to catch up. I'm supposed to finally see "Guardians of the Galaxy" next weekend at a friend's house so that'll be fun I still need to see "Mockingjay" and "Interstellar" which I've heard are both really good. My mom and I have been planning to see "The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" in theaters opening weekend at one of the fancy five star lounges in our area which is going to be amazing. (I've heard you can order wine which is a large part of the reason we're going with the fancy tickets and of course IT'S THE FREAKING HOBBIT!) I'm super excited and a bit sad to see Martin Freeman play Bilbo for the last time. *sheds tear* Even with some of the issues I've had with the movies *cough* too much Legolas *cough* Martin's performance has made it all worth it.

That is awesome!

Freeman's performance is one of the main reasons I'm going to see it. The other being I want to see Galadriel kick Sauron's butt. I don't have high expectations for this movie at all.
